Reportnet 3
Reportnet 3 is the new e-platform for reporting environmental and climate data to the European Environment Agency (EEA). The platform embraces the strategic objectives of the European Commission's "Green Deal" and is an important component of its digital strategy.
The European Environment Agency (EEA) receives, compiles and provides large amounts of geographical environmental and climate data for European countries. The data is used to analyze the current situation, trends, what the biggest environmental problems are and what to do about them. The environmental goals in Agenda 2030 guide the work.
Increased data volumes, new data sources and higher demands on timeliness are reasons why a new modern reporting platform is now being gradually introduced.
The speaker has been commissioned to develop a public and free package for FME. The package enables direct access to data in Reportnet 3 - both for access and reporting.
Making reports for Natura 2000
In the Netherlands, economic activities and vulnerable nature (Natura 2000) are close together and it is not easy to develop new activities. Applying for a permit for a new activity now requires very extensive, meticulously prepared reports. Based on this case, we show how we use the Gallery App, Workspace Apps from FME Server and ArcGIS Pro and JSReport within Sweco, resulting in significant time savings. Afterwards, you will have a good idea of which components, knowledge and work agreements are needed to successfully automate reports within your organization.
